Life is simple but we insist in making it complicated

In my corner of the world

It's been almost a month since I came back to India, and now I'm back in what I call now "routine". Right after coming back from Egypt I worked just for one week because after that, I attended the APXLDS, another international conference although this is just for the Asia Pacific region, and there I had the opportunity of being a facilitator.

It was kind of funny having this conference after IPM where I met people from all over the world and in APXLDS just people from Asia Pacific. The first thing that you can notice are the eyes; but after some hours and having the opportunity to speak with this guys you don't notice anymore the difference all of us became the same. Twelve days of conference, meeting really nice and smart young people from AP, enjoying the company of Jeanne and Ryan from the current AI team, having Abhinav from the past AI team as chair, working with and incredible Faci team and then... back to my reality.

I live in Banjara Hills, according to the people of this city a really nice place to live, and it is true I live close to the lake (30 minutes) that is the center of the twin cities (Hyderabad-Secunderabad), which means that I have close to my house almost all the facilities of this place, good when you need to buy some stuffs.

I work from home, I have an internet connection that allows me to be connected to the world and to do my job. The only problem is that we have daily power cuts and I can live with out internet for one hour but without fan when is almost 40 degrees outside, it's all an adventure, and a good time for self reflection or for a cigarette and a coffee in the small balcony.

I use to go to Azri at least twice a month; Azri is the company that provides to AIESEC the IS services. Further that than I just go out for food, and as I cook, I just go for groceries to Magna a supermarket 5 blocks from my home. I like to go out to a restaurant twice or three times per week, I have to enjoy in someway the Indian food :) , and the most common places are Persepolis (average 20 rupees), Sandarshini (average 70 rupees) or Orhis (average 160 rupees) big differences between all of them.

The flat is a trainees flat, 8 trainees in total, and downstairs another 8; I share my room with Magda a Polish girl that was CC at IC 2006, in my flat one Romanian girl, one German guy, 2 Colombian guys, One Russian girl and one Finish that came back to her country this week, all of them are my multicultural family. Plus 6 Colombian and one Turkish guys and One Chinese girl from downstairs are my closes neighbors.

The guys from my flat the ones from the flat down stairs, love to go to a place called Six element to have some beers, the funny thing is that here all the bars close at midnight so like Cinderella all of them are back early; once in a while I join them. 15 minutes from my flat there is a park and from time to time I like to go and walk.

My life in my routine is simple but I love it; this is and will be my corner in the world for the next couples of months.
